Grounds For Sculpture: Message from the Executive Director

Not long ago Mother Nature dropped over a foot of snow on us, creating a landscape of brilliant white, an entirely new canvas against which to see this wonderful park and its many artistic jewels. It was serene, tranquil; marked only by the footprints of our wildlife. The trees stood tall, flocked great pillars rising up. Heavy snow blankets covered our paths and our great guests of metal and stone. Within days, rain would wash it all away, creating yet a new winter canvas. From the interplay of sculpture, landscape and weather, we live in constant and bedazzling change. Grounds For Sculpture is different and wondrous in every season, and even for those of us who work here, there is something new to discover almost every day. Here are some images of this particular time. I invite you to explore with us and share the moments you treasure most.

Sincerely,

David Miller
